About us

Connlaoth Mulholland is from County Antrim Ireland.

He is a hardworking individual who started Mulholland Electric, San Francisco with his Brother Ronan in 2008.

He has been an electrician for 20 years.

LED strip lights had started to become mainstream when he discovered Electricians faced a difficult issue when soldering LED tape lights.

The problem was it was difficult to hold the LED tape lights and wire in place while the installer was soldering the connections.

"I was soldering LED's on top of my ladder. I was trying to use my pliers and spirit level as weights to hold the tape light in place while I made my connection. I had a few failed attempts when I thought... there has to be an easier way than this?"

This was the day the idea for SolderM8 was born.
